From the first of January I started with Mineraçao Sao Jose in Brasil. Spent
the first few months working from Rio de Janeiro, then moved to Curitiba.

Rio de Janeiro, where we lived below the Pão de
Açúcar in Urca. Working throughout Brasil, mainly in the Northeast up into
Ceara, where we had a base in Camocim.

Started working for Billiton (then a subsidiary of Shell Petroleum company of
the Netherlands) and based in Salvador, Bahia. The project I worked on was close
to the Boquira lead (PbO) mine and we lived in the village of Oliveiros dos
Brejinhos.
